Naser is an entrepreneur over twenty-five years of experience in startup companies as an investor, venture capitalist, founder, CEO, and board member. Naser's commitment to NP Photonics began when he invested in the company in 2000 and served on its board for six years. His returned to NP Photonics as CEO in 2023 to lead a new phase of growth. While at Enterprise Partners Venture Capital from 2000 tp 2006, he invested in DragonWave (which went public in Toronto in 2007), Quorum Systems (which was acquired by Spreadtrum Communication), ReliOn, SKY MobileMedia, GoBeam (which was acquired by Covad Communications), WIDCOMM (which was acquired by Broadcom), Gigabit Optics (which was acquired by Oplink), and Ascendant Systems (which was acquired by BlackBerry). In addition to NP Photonics, Naser is leading iCRx as its CEO, spearheading the development of the innovative One-Minute Eye Exam.Before joining Enterprise, Naser was Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Nortel's optical networks business. Naser began his career at Bell-Northern Research, focusing on research into image processing algorithms. Naser earned a bachelor's degree (Honors) and a master's degree in electrical engineering from McGill University. Naser has served on the boards of La Jolla Music Society, Evonexus (as chairman and board member), and the McGill School of Engineering Board of Advisors.
